More time for what you love about caring.

Appointments, school updates, care notes and changing plans can leave important information scattered across emails, folders and notebooks.

MyCarerHub is being developed for foster and kinship carers across Australia, bringing everyday care information together so you can spend less time searching and more time focused on the children in your care.

Caring is personal. Keeping track can be complicated.

You may be preparing for a review, looking for the latest school report or trying to remember which conversation led to a follow-up task. When several children have different appointments, professionals and respite arrangements, small details can take a lot of effort to keep connected.

Carers need a practical way to find what matters, see what needs attention and carry a clear history forward. That is the everyday problem MyCarerHub is being built to help solve.

A clearer picture of everyday care.

The aim is to make the information behind caring easier to organise and use. These examples explain the intended benefits; the trial will help test how well the product delivers them.

Know what needs attention.

Bring appointments, important dates and follow-up actions into one connected household view. See the child, the purpose and the next step together, instead of relying on several separate reminders.

For example, preparing for a health appointment can include the details of the visit, questions to raise and an action to follow up afterwards.

Keep each child’s information connected.

Bring placement details, health and education information, communication, documents and important people together around each child or young person. Keep related information connected so it is easier to find, understand and follow up.

MyCarerHub is designed to keep shared details consistent across relevant records while preserving the history of changes, decisions and care arrangements. The aim is a clearer picture of each child’s care - what has happened, who is involved and what needs attention - with less searching and repeated entry.

Prepare, review and share with care.

Find relevant information for a conversation, review or handover, then check the intended recipient and content before sharing. The aim is less last-minute searching and a more useful account of what has happened.

With administration easier to manage, there can be more room for the everyday moments that make caring meaningful.

Care information deserves careful handling.

The approved production direction centres on local encrypted care records, encrypted documents, separate carer identities, controlled sharing and recoverable encrypted backups.

These protections are still being implemented and tested. The initial trial will use fictional examples; the website is not a place to upload children’s records.

20 years of caring. A practical purpose.

MyCarerHub is being developed from 20 years of firsthand caring experience, understanding the paperwork, changing arrangements, advocacy and everyday responsibilities involved in supporting children and young people.

That experience shapes its design: bringing important information together, making follow-up easier to manage and helping carers feel better prepared. The purpose is practical and personal; to support the work behind caring, leaving more time for the relationships that matter.

Help shape a more useful MyCarerHub.

We are preparing a trial with ten participants: foster and kinship carers and child safety sector employees. Practical feedback will help us improve everyday workflows before a wider release.
